TODAY IS GOOD

Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? Can you believe that we are already in the month of April? Where did the time go? April is here friends, and with it came, snow, rain, hail, and sleet in just the past four days! At this point, I think we need to tread very carefully as we prepare for the rest of the month.  Today, there is snow on the ground, presently, our temperature stands at 33°, but will rise to 40°, by which time the snow would have melted, and the grass will once again make its appearance.

Can you remember back in January of this year, when we were full of vigor and zeal, ready to take on the whole year by its throat and shake it into submission? Or was that just me? Time has blurred my memory.  We have lived more than three months of our new year and friends, the past three months have been beautifully hectic.

My friend and I planned our church’s first Easter Egg Hunt.  What a marvelous time we had together, over 80 kids with their family attended and some attended our service the next day (praise the Lord!).  Anna and I plan to run a 5k and a 10k this year, so we’ve been training (pray for me)

So, a few of my pages for the past few months are filled to the brim, a few others are overflowing with goodness, but there are few pages that appear to be blank because I can’t remember them.  I’ve noticed that these pages tended to be blank because I was fixated on myself and my wants and my desires.   Nothing else and no one mattered.  Blank pages… prayerfully, I will not have too many of those. I will remember each day is a blessing.

New days are good because it allows us to be and do better.  We can let go of the past, let go of the things we cannot change. Today brings healing, today allows grace and mercy to take hold and urges us to surrender fully to the Lord.  Today is good.

How are you today? How have you been lately?

  1. Thank you. There wasn’t a birthday celebration. Though the birthday was shadowed by a difficult family situation and void of the joy and celebration we had hoped for, I felt loved and appreciated and grateful for the gift of life, and also for my family, a beacon of hope and strength.

  3. God bless you as you train for your race. Training with a buddy? extra nice!

Those photos of the branches in the fence: so interesting. We have a similar situation near our house, and I have studied them. Trying to draw a spiritual lesson: God ‘traps’ us in His boundaries. We grow in and around and within His parameters, and He grows in us. We find our safe haven in Him.

  5. Hi Brenda, It is hard to believe it is already April, but I am thrilled by the appearance of spring flowers. Each day is a day of new beginnings, a chance to improve, forgive, let go, and go forward with open hearts. 🌷🪻🌺

    • Amen and amen 🙏🏽 I love the sight of spring flowers too, but ours are barely shorting through the ground, in our neck of the woods. Love new days and new beginnings. May the Lord continue to bless you
