Hey friends, how are you? It’s a fabulous day in my neck of the woods. The sky is covered with dark clouds which has completely hidden any sign of the sun, but it is currently 37° with a forecasted high of 40°. That, my friends, means it’s above freezing and when you live in Upstate NY, any day above freezing is a good day. What does a winter day look like in your neck of the woods?

My devotions in presently in the book of Ephesians, but before there I read Hebrews. Funny name for a book, don’t you think? I’m sure, like me you’ve heard a few quips about it, such as ‘he brews coffee’ or ‘he bruise his heel’ anyway I digress back to the point. I came across Hebrews 10:23; ‘let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, because He who promised is faithful’ (decided to memorize it). Hebrews has a few open phrases like this one ‘He who promised’. The obvious question here is ‘He who promised what?’ What I enjoyed most about this book is that it stands on the premise that we should know. The author takes the reader back to Genesis and culminates at the feet of Jesus in Heaven. At this point, we should know that He is faithful to keep His promises. He is trustworthy and dependable. We can trust Him to do what He says He will do. This verse leaves no room for doubt or speculation; He who promised is faithful! And that, my friends, will do it for me. How about you?

These items were put together for the Thanksgiving post, but here we are, unfortunately I did not get around to it, then. Included in this giveaway are:

I am a follower of your blog, and more importantly of Jesus Christ. I have been away for a while, but I am back. I am thankful for you, this blog and the encouragement I always get when reading your works. I am thankful that our Heavenly Father healed me from endometrial cancer last year and thankful to be alive to continue to live expectantly and see what God will do this year! I would love to be entered into your giveaway. Blessings to you and yours in 2023. As for the weather, I am in Ohio. One minute it is below zero, next in the mid 50’s and then back in the 30’s. Oi!

Oooph! We just got through a 2-foot dump of snow! The storm lasted for three days, and it took 2 days to dig out so that people could even move out of their houses! (I’m looking at all that snow and thinking, “Imagine that with 2 more feet on top, and that’s Buffalo, NY! Yikes.” Our snow is sticking around for a while: we’re minus 5 in the mornings, and highs in the teens. That’s good, though – we don’t need any flooding.
Bless you for your giveaway; I’m not entering. 😊

Wow 😯-5° now that’s cold 🥶 on days with temperatures like this, I try not to move too far and too fast. Cozy and comfy are the only descriptive words for me. God bless you, my friend

I’m thankful for even just being alive. So many times I could have died but God saved me. When I came to truly follow Christ I changed completely just 2 years ago and I realize so many things I’m thankful for but more is fact for being alive and changing to who I can now. Near our home there is a Hebrews XI coffee shop! Check it out at hebrewsxicoffee.com. And no, I don’t get a commission! 🙂
I’ve heard good reports on Heaven Rules; I believe I’ll pass on the eye shadow, etc., however my wife would no doubt love them and the book (she’s an avid reader) and the journal. And we could both make use of the coffee gift card, so throw my name in there with the rest of them!
But I must say, reading your blog is the real prize!
God Bless you and yours.

Hmm, well, I have more books to read than I can get to before reaching 112 years old; I don’t think the eyeshadow is my shade, although the brushes look like I could use them to start painting… after I finish all the books to read; and I prefer local coffee shops to Starbucks.
So I guess I’ll let others enter your giveaway, although as a blog-follower, I think I am one of your most faithful!! A blog for which I am thankful, btw! 😉
