Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? The weather has been rather fabulous in my neck of the woods. Our temperature has been wonderful; high 60°s and low 70°s has been this week’s average temperature, for which we are very thankful. It has also been rather windy and rainy too, and as a result, a few of the trees have lost their leaves. But today is a good day. The sun is out, the skies are blue, the remaining trees tell the story of the beauty of God’s great and wonderful world.

A few of us ladies, from my church attended the Revive Our Hearts, True Woman Conference ’22 in Indianapolis, Indiana, last month. It was absolutely amazing. Imagine over 4,000 women from all walks of life, from various congregations, from various states and countries all together praying and praising one God: the God of the Universe. My soul needed this conference. Although we had many speakers, including the founder of this event; Nancy Leigh DeMoss Wolgemoth, there were two who spoke to my heart; Dannah Gresh and Chris Brooks.

Have you ever known something, seemed like you’ve always known this, yet hearing it again out loud makes all the difference? Dannah Gresh talked about her ‘Holy Girl Walks’ which was a play on words for Instagram’s ‘Hot Girl Walks’ (didn’t know that was a thing, but anywho) … she talked about the memorization of the Word of God and the benefits of hiding God’s Word in our hearts. She talked about reciting the Word of God as she walked. Everything she said, I already knew, yet this time, it made an impact. As a child and teen, every program at church involved memorizing God’s Word and now I realize the value in this activity. Because as an adult, I very rarely now memorize any new verses, most of the verses I know and I do know quite a few, came from back then. I have now the desire to go back to what I know to be true and also what the word of God has commanded me to do; hide scripture in my heart. It is for my good.

One of my favorite things to do when I visit a new town or city, apart from scouting out their thrift stores of course, is photograph the beauty of the place. Every town or city has its unique beauty and I love to try to capture it with my camera but because I’m still a novice with my actual camera, my phone has been my go-to.

What do you like to do, when you visit a new city or town? Want to join me in memorizing a new verse each week? Let me know in the comment section.
Check me out on Instagram. Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram. Follow my Instagram and I will follow back, just let me know in the comment section. I would love to meet you 🙂

Thanks for sharing your sweet time with us!! Beautiful architecture and look at you, always so cute and fashionable!!
I love how we can hear (or read) things that maybe aren’t new to us, yet because of the season in our life they maybe speak in a more relevant way…we are so blessed in the fact that God’s word never changes yet manages to always stay fresh but timeless, able to stir our hearts and awe our minds. So amazing!!

This is a timely post for me as God has been dealing with me that I need to memorize new scriptures. Like you I have memorized a lot of verses – but it has been years since I try to memorize any new ones. This has encouraged me to act on God’s prompting. Love the pics! Thanks for sharing.

Visiting a new city or place I like to check out a coffee shop, check out a restaurant, and a church.

😂😂I must admit I very rarely attend church when I’m out of town, unless it’s been recommended. But coffee shops have become one of my new things

Over 4,000 women together, praying and praising our Great God Almighty❗❗❗ Wow. I love it when we are mightily encouraged in such a way: days of national prayer, Christian events. God shows us that He still has many mighty warriors in the field and taking a stand for Him.
Thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Amen and amen. And sometimes, I think we need the remainder that we are not alone. Together we are a mighty army

Glad you enjoyed the conference. It is interesting how we can know something or be familiar with something and then we hear it one day and it sticks out like never before. That happens to me at times while reading the Bible. Great pictures! I was in Indianapolis for a couple of months over 25 years ago during my army days.

Very timely as our prayer leader has been encouraging us to memorise scripture. Praying scripture is powerful. Thank you. I’d like to do this.

Yeah! Let’s start tomorrow, but rather than every week, we will try every two or three weeks depending on the verse

I can’t commit to a new verse every week, but I will try. And I visit the local library and bookstore when I go to a new city or town.

I am thinking now, that one a week may be a bit excessive 😍😍 let’s try to one every two or three weeks, depending in the verse

Love Indy, where our daughter and son-in-law live! And your pics of the city are beautiful.
A good resource for Scripture memorization is Navigators. This has been high on their agenda since their founding, because “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.”
Or in ESV, “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Psalm 119:11

I must admit I absolutely love Indianapolis. This is the first city I’ve been that I feel like I can move to and feel comfortable. I love the magic of the city. This verse has certainly been my go to
