I DID IT AGAIN

Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? I appreciate the time you spent with me throughout the week, when you read Portrait of God’s Woman.  Becoming is a gradual, intentional process, especially for those of us intent on becoming a portrait of godly people.

Our weather has progressively become warmer and sunnier throughout this week, culminating with yesterday’s high temperature of 74Β°.  74Β°! And it’s not even officially spring yet! Well of course we all know it’s not going to last, so I went for my run outside.  As in this post I Was Way Too Fast, I was excited to feel the warmth, hear the birds, see the blue skies and experience the thrill of just being outside. I placed my new Apple AirPods that my babe got for me for Christmas and off I went.   There were not as many people outside (you know why), but it was nice to see the smiles and the welcome of the few I passed along the way.  As usual on days like these, I began too fast, which leads to huffing and puffing and noodle legs, but still I am not flustered. It’s too beautiful a day to be flustered.

As a woman and like my mom and sisters, we enjoy things of beauty.  Nature fascinates me, I am thankful that the God of the Universe chose to share such beauty with me.  Clothes, handbags and shoes are a treat! I love sparkle and the shiny things; they all exist to bring me pleasure.  But all these beautiful things are only temporary, because true beauty the Bible reminds me is here.

How are you doing? What’s your weather like in your neck of the woods?

Check me out on Instagram. Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram. Follow my Instagram and I will follow back, just let me know in the comment section. I would love to meet you πŸ™‚

  1. Loved the pics from your part of the world! I can’t imagine having to shovel snow in the low temps you get there! I share your love of nature. I can’t wait to get back to walking. Our kind of cold here is more of a wet cold, so I try to stay indoors in winter! I hibernate like a bear lol

  2. Beautiful photos and reminders! I love the various landscapes and weather. His creation from rain to snow, sunshine to clouds, windy or still – remind us of His sovereign creativity! As one who grew up by the ocean, I love warmth and sunshine and we getting that today. But having moved β€œnorth” and yet still south, I have learned to love the cold (maybe because I know it isn’t forever πŸ˜‚) and the clouds! His grand design! So glad we get to experience it all!

  3. Loved the pic – especially the roses. It is warming up here too in Michigan and I cannot wait to get out and walk outside. Right now my husband and I walk at the small mall in town, but when the trees start blooming – it will be a joy to walk outside. As always, I enjoy you sharing your thoughts with us.

You can see what I did Saturday , went hike/jogging. Then Sunday it rained . Hoping to get out and run today but the time change is very hard on me . I’m tired . Have a blessed day!

  5. It was actually pretty warm (low 50s) on Thursday and Friday which was lovely! It is now back to being cold and snowy πŸ™‚ But that is very typical for us in March. Eventually it will melt and spring will begin again! God is good πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful day! God Bless!

  8. Thank you for sharing your photos from your walk with us, Brenda. I have not ventured outside much bc of allergies, but I can see things beginning to bloom from my window. I love sparkly things, too, but I think my favorite sparkly things are the pictures from our grandchildren. Did you know that a little glitter can go a long way (around all the surfaces in the house, that is)?
Have a blessed weekend and enjoy God’s many blessings!

  9. It has been very warm here the last few days, Brenda. But, like you, I don’t think it will last. The experts around here say that warmer weather doesn’t officially arrive around here until around the middle of April.

My favorite sparkly things are electronics. I love my Bose sound bar and the new Apple Watch I got for Christmas.

Blessings. Thank you for asking how I am doing. Thank God, I am doing well!
