TODAY IS THE DAY!!

Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? I pray that today, you will be blessed with a fabulous day. I pray that today, we choose to make the choice to surrender our will and allow the Lord to control the outcome of our day.  Can we do that? If you are like me, although we’ve done this before; as a matter of fact, we probably surrender on a daily basis, one would believe it gets easier with time.  But in actuality, the moment it gets easy, it probably signifies, we are indeed not surrendering at all.  Just the thought of handing over the reigns, the idea that someone else gets to decide the outcome and indeed the very decisions of my life is frightening. Yet, we do know this GOD, don’t we? We know of His great love and faithfulness and mercy toward us.  We know of His desire to grant free forgiveness to us.  We know that He wants to ‘give us life more abundantly’.  We KNOW Him and we BELIEVE Him, therefore, we will TRUST Him with this day. Why this day, you ask? Why today and not yesterday? 

Do you know what’s happening today? Do you know what a glorious day today can be? Do you know how amazingly special today is?

Today is the day that the Lord has made; and my prayer is that you will have a fabulous today, because it’s my birthday.   But in order to achieve such a day, we must allow the Lord to control our steps. 

I’ve had the privilege of walking with the Lord awhile.  I accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as my Savior, when I was a little girl, for which I do say, “thank You, Lord”.  The Lord has preserved my life.  He has blessed me abundantly throughout the years.  He has kept me, through the good, the bad and the ugly.  He saw fit, to bless me with a wonderful first family; my mom loves me, my sisters and brother love me.  I know that, throughout the years that fact has been indisputable. Then throughout the years, the Lord brought wonderful people to my life.  All have brought something to my life.  All have shown me the beauty of getting to ‘know’ people.  I’ve realized through travels that people, are people, are people, are people.  Indeed, we are all sinners, we are all in need of a Savior. We must all learn to extend grace.  The Lord then blessed me with my own family.  I am married to a splendid, superb, spectacular, sumptuous, striking man, but what I value most about him, is the fact that he is a spiritual man.  And again, the blessing continued with two amazing, beautiful, clever, delightful, enjoyable, fetching and (praise the Lord) God-fearing girls.   Indeed, to my great and mighty God be all the glory.  Throughout the years, the Lord has proved over and over and over and over again that ‘when I am faithless, He remains faithful’. Throughout the years, He’s demonstrated His love because He knows I am prone to forget.  Sometimes when things don’t go my way, the idea that maybe I’m not loved, perhaps I’m not as special, maybe He does not care, begins to form in my head.  Sometimes, it takes Him a minute to get me back on track because I chose to wallow in self-pity, rather than understand that it is because He cares and it’s because He loves me so very much that He halted my steps.  

Yes, my friends, I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that my God is the One True GOD and He has been and will continue to always be faithful to me.  Trust Him with your steps.  

The Lord has also blessed me with fantastic, fabulous, fancy blogging and online friends. Thank you for sticking with me. Thank you for reading, liking, and commenting on my posts.  Thank you.  

And indeed, today is also the birthday of another, exceptional, extraordinary friend, I ‘met’ here. Some things are special and having our friends wish us a ‘happy birthday’ is one of them.

This Lady really is All that you believe her to be and sooooo much more. When I spend time with Brenda, it’s laughter, joy and relating to each other. Praise God! Awesome Lady.
