Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? I had a very busy, but great week. I spoke with our girls almost every single day; it always brings me pleasure, when I hear their voices. Then on our way home, one evening, my husband pointed out the most beautiful moon, I had ever seen. It was huge and seemed so close; I almost felt like I could touch it. And then I went to the consignment and thrift store twice this week. I absolutely love thrift stores, in fact I love shopping and thrifting satisfies that desire. And this week, I also began reading the book of Ezekiel. I have read it before, in fact, I think I read it about two or three years ago. My fascination for Bible history began when I read Esther and then it just spiraled from there. Iβve read Ezra, Nehemiah and now Ezekiel. Ezekiel and Daniel were exiled together, well actually Daniel was taken into exiled under Nebuchadnezzar, the Babylonian king, first and later, in the second wave, Ezekiel was taken. I wonder whether they met? Iβm sure they heard about each other. Can you imagine the stories Ezekiel heard about Daniel? I wonder what he thought about Daniel? The prophet Ezekiel came before Esther, but the time line between these people have totally captured my attention. Did you know that Ezra and Nehemiah were contemporaries? Absolutely fascinating! Can you imagine their conversations when they met each other? Perhaps Ezra even invited Nehemiah over for dinner! The stories are endless! They were really, just everyday people, werenβt they?
On Monday, we went to get cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. They make the best cheesecake, it is wonderfully delicious. I had Red Velvet cheesecake, my absolute favorite, but since Iβm trying to lose weight, I decided to take a look at the calories! A decision, I must admit I totally regret! Do you know a single slice, of this most heavenly cheesecake is almost 1500 calories. Really! What! Why! Oh well, I ate it anyway. Iβm happy to report, it was absolutely exquisite.
Here is what I picked up this week at the thrift store;
Did you notice a theme with the clothes I got? How was your week? Do you enjoy thrifting? Thank you to all who take the time to read, comment, like and follow this blog. Can I just remind you to;

My daughter, Amy Barbera, is an inspirational singer. Like you, she loves thrift stores and people are always coming up to her and asking, βWhere did you get that great outfit!β Even fashion-designer types.
She is featured in a lot of my posts.

There are two thrift stores relatively close to me. I don’t go often, but I enjoy going to thrift stores because I can go in, buy some things and yet not feel guilty because of the amount I spent. I can find things, such as a certain style of clothes or music, that is hard to find elsewhere.
Several years ago while working as a cashier , I complimented a customer on the sweater she wore. She leaned over and whispered that she bought it at a thrift store. I told her about a sweatshirt I bought . I liked the design and the quality–it was a brand that would have retailed for over $20. I bought it at a thrift store for $4 or $5. Her face lit up with a big smile.

Thatβs the thrill about thrifting, it allows us to get quality, beautiful items at ridiculously low prices. Canβt beat that! I am complimented all the time on my outfits, usually people are shocked when I tell them where I shop π May the Lord bless you

Looks like you found lots of treasures, both in Scripture and at the thrift store. π This week was a bit of a blurr here. I was hardly home, but I did make it to the thrift shop once, and was thankful for the way God provided some needs. I hope you have a restful and enjoyable weekend! Take care!

Awww, man. You HAD to share the calories in Cheesecake Factory’s cheesecake? Sigh. I guess it is better to spread out a day’s worth of calories over . . . well, a day. π But every now and then it’s okay, right?
I love the clothes you picked up, especially the creamy blouse with the bell sleeves and black piping. Right up my style alley!

That cheesecake looks DELICIOUS!! And weight loss is a journey π You have to enjoy it!! You have some fabulous thrift stores around you…I never find things that nice, lol. However, at this season in life, it’s probably best that I can’t find things like that because they would just get ruined anyways, or sit in the closet forever because I would be afraid to ruin them! π Hurray for awesome finds, at thrift stores and in the Bible. Bible history has always fascinated me, someday I will have to take the time and make a further study of it. Enjoy! God Bless!

I’m assuming your first photo (in which you look fabulous, by the way) was not recent: green grass, and all. π
We’ve been getting snow a lot, and I missed the super moon. π
Oh, my, that red velvet cheesecake!!!!! π΅ Yum.
A long time ago, I got a chronological Bible. It was fascinating to see the different books of the Bible interwoven as they were, to present the entire contents in chronological order. A whole new perspective! God sure has a lot of ways to speak to us.
