OCTOBER FAVORITES

Wow!  Are you keeping track with me?  Time just keeps marching on, ready or not.  Sometimes, when life keeps the curve balls coming, it is easy to slip into old habits.  The ‘new’ man is struggling for control, but the constant battles are making it difficult to surrender. Life as a new creation is intentional and deliberate and it is in spite of.  On Sunday, we were told that faith is not hoping that God will do what He could do, but rather faith is living as though God will do what He said.  You see, the Lord keeps His promises; Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Trust Him to keep His Word.

GROWING FAVORITES

For the month of November, Revive Our Hearts is encouraging women with a 30 Day Gratitude Challenge.  I have found, that it is very difficult to find complaints out of a grateful heart. I want to invite you on this challenge with me.  It is a good month for it, with Thanksgiving right around the corner.  Here is the link to sign up.  If you do not wish to go that route, here are some guidelines, I came up with, for you and me.  Begin a gratitude journal and don’t forget to write in it every day this month.  Here is the November Gratitude challenge.

BEAUTY FAVORITES

IMG_2188Usually, I have normal to dry skin, but during the winter, my face feels like sand paper.  In this post, back in May, I told you about this Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Resist 24 Day EmulsionFive months later, I am on to my second bottle and I still love it.  I buy most of my skin care and perfumes from T J Max.  Although shopping online is possible, I have found the website difficult to navigate.  Amazon is your next best friend, although they cannot beat T J Max’s prices.  IMG_2191It is so luxurious and moisturizing, I bought the Night Emulsion.  It feels so good on the skin.  It restores moisture and sinks into the skin beautifully, and remember a little goes a long way.  IMG_2180

This is Honey by Marc Jacobs.  Okay, so I must admit I did not want to like this perfume; it reminds me of a child’s toy.  But it smells so good, I could not resist. It has a light, airy, floral scent, making it perfect for summer, but why discriminate?

IMG_2181This Tartist lip paint is gorgeous. It came in a recent BoxyCharm subscription.  This is called Delish and I can use this lip paint with my eyes closed. It stays put, goes exactly where you want it to be.  The color is perfect, easy to wear and goes with almost every makeup look.

FASHION FAVORITES

Now I know you can’t tell, but I’ll let you in on a little secret.  Shhhh…. I love shoes.  Yes, it’s true, I think good shoes with well tailored, structured blazers give any outfit a chic, sophisticated, put together look, but that’s for another blog post.  IMG_2194IMG_2193These Michael Kors shoes were calling my name at the thrift store.  “Try me”, they said.  Well, I did, and they had me at the comfort level.  As I get older, comfort, cute and chic (my three c’s) becomes more and more intertwined. And these shoes fit the bill.

Now can we talk about the color of these shoes?  Such a great combination of the pink piping on the purple, they are so cute.  IMG_2199IMG_2197There just something about a stiletto heel…  The platform helps with the comfort and the straps keep the feet secure.  Both pairs of shoes can be worn for quite a few hours at a time.

These are my favorites for the month of October.  Did you have any?   Share, like, comment and please don’t forget to follow, if you haven’t done so.  Thank you
