EMBRACE NEW DAYS

Hey friends, how are you today? Thankfully today is warmer than it has been the entire week. Although to some, 63ยฐ may still be a bit chilly.ย ย ย But in my neck of the woods, 63ยฐ is so much warmer than 48ยฐ, isnโ€™t it? The Lord has been good to us. He has granted us warmer than usual temperatures for this time of the year.ย ย What is the current temperature in your neck of the woods?

I love new days, donโ€™t you? New days signify do-over days. New days are a welcome gift of time. Time to do better, to make changes.ย ย Time to grow and nurture relationships.ย ย New days offer opportunities to accept the gifts of forgiveness, love, joy, and peace. Each new day comes with new grace and the faithfulness and trustworthiness of our God.ย ย Time is granted to us, on each day. We have been given the breath of life to accept the gift of salvation.ย ย What are you thankful for today?

I love this time of the year.ย ย The cooler weather is perfect for these constant and on most frustrating hot flashes.ย ย ย In my head, I thought these combustible occasions would only last for no more than a year.ย ย But here we are, four years later, with these incendiary flames.ย ย “How much longer, Lord?โ€ Well, winter will soon be here and then I can lay down in the snow on those days. Are you or anyone you know, going through menopause? how do they cope?

How are you, friends? How was your week? Which is your favorite season? Why? What do you look forward to, on new days?ย

  1. I love the pictures. Fall is such a beautiful time of year. I started menopause early (all the women in my family seem to do so). I relive it now as my daughter is going through the hot flashes and keeps asking me “how long?” The only benefit of starting menopause early is I got through early and have been able t enjoy life without all those crazy symptoms. For me (and now my daughter) worse than the hot flashes was the emotional ups and downs. Sometimes I would sit and cry and have no idea why. Hang in there. You will make it through and have many years to enjoy life symptom- free.

  2. Thank you for blessing us with your fall photos. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‚

Here in good ol’ SD we’ve been having warmer than normal temps in the 80’s (and moving into drought conditions). We’re soon to dip into the 50’s for highs, though.

Sorry to report: I’m 68 and I still get hot flashes. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

  3. Thank you, Brenda. News days have become more noticeable since I started counting (literally) my days. There is so much potential and grace in each day. It is not that years are not enriching any more or that eternal life can be eclipsed by hours or days. Tens of thousands of days are much more impressive than our sub-hundred years.
