Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? Today is January 26th, 2024, and it is raining in my neck of the woods. In fact, it has been raining for the past two days! This is crazy weather. Do you know just a few years ago, our city stood at numbers one or two on the snowiest city in America? Our average snowfall was 144 inches of snow. That’s 12ft of snow, my friends. Schools didn’t close unless the windchill dropped in the negative numbers. (Now I said, city, not town or village because not far from us, some of the smaller towns certainly get more snow that that!) Today it is raining and has been on and off throughout the winter season. I can’t even imagine the ski resorts dilemma with this crazy weather. I can’t say I feel bad about it, but I’m sorry for those who depend on the snow to make a living. What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Every year brings with it, its own quota of changes. Today we have changes in the weather, but there will also be changes in our lives. Perhaps changes in the lives of family and friends that will also affect our lives. Changes are inevitable and most times changes are also unpredictable, aren’t they?

If only we could be prepared for every change that filters in our lives, life would be better lived, don’t you think? Well… guess what? Although, we can’t predict the next change, we can be better prepared to deal with it; the good, the bad and the ugly.

We can handle the changes that knock on our doors demanding entry because we believe the Word of God. We believe Him when He said, we can have joy in the change, we believe Him when He said he will never leave us, we believe Him when He said our sufferings will last just for a while, we believe Him when He said His grace is sufficient. And we certainly believe Him when He said because He loves us far more than birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He is more than able to care for our every need.

We prepare ourselves to deal with whatever comes our way, by becoming better acquainted with the Word of God. Let us continue to lift each other up in prayer, as are already doing and encourage each other along the way. Are you preparing yourself for the change?

Check me out on Instagram. Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram. Follow my Instagram and I will follow back, just let me know in the comment section. I would love to meet you 🙂

Our weather is much like yours but maybe not quite as cold-but wet and cold NW winds.
And changes? I know they will come some good and some bad but all the Lord will work together for our good. He gives us peace.

All our snow melted away in the rains that then came up into NY. It was beeutiful while it lasted. I enjoy rain as well, but prefer snow at this time of year. Hope you don’t get too much of weather confusion this weekend!🤠

We’re back to snowing again but tomorrow we’re back into the 40°s. This has been the strangest winter season in all the time we’ve been here. Unprecedented! I’m not sure I like it 😂😂 but I can remember years before asking the Lord for such a time like this. Thankfully we know who the wind and waves obey

Yes, the weather is strange, but we have Father’s assurance that “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22), in spite of what climate alarmists scream.🙄
We had some snow spits today, but at 37F nothing is going to stick. We will hit freezing temps at night next week but no snow.😟
Did you know that England had citrus crops in the “Roman Warm Period?”

We got some snow spits today, but at 37F nothing will stick, of course. We’re heading into the low 50s for next week’s highs, but freezing in the nights. Ahh, but no snow.😢

As for “unprecedented, perhaps in our lifetimes, but did you know England and Canada had citrus fruit in the Roman Warm Period?

Having faith in God and His promises helps us to grow and cope when we face changes. May we learn to rely on God in all situations. 💖🌺

Whoa, that’s a lotta snow/rain! I pray you escape any of the flooding I see so often in the news.
Dealing with change:
We have canceled our trip to see my mom and sister FOUR TIMES so far. Weather. We remain optimistic, but it seems to snow each time we want to go. Not feet, like you, but just enough to make travel dicey. This week we didn’t have snow – we had freezing fog. We rescheduled again, and have a couple of churches praying for us. If you feel so led, please join us in prayer that God clears the way.

It has been raining here too, but not now because we sent it up north to you – lol. You’re welcome – lol.
I am an avid Star Trek fan. Whether that’s good or bad, that’s another blog. The premise of that show is that in the future everything that one needs and even some of the wants, are provided for, basically free of charge. Its all communal. But, Gene wouldn’t have had a successful tv show if he didn’t bring conflict into the story line. We humans actually thrive on conflict. So instead of it all being fun, fun, fun in travelling, discovering and experiencing the universe, he had to bring in war, strife, confusion, lies, treachery, etc. just to get us humans to keep watching the show. FACT.
I do look forward to when there won’t be those things and we rule and reign with Yeshua in all that will encompass. I have faith it won’t be boring at all.

Thank a lot! 😂😂😂 I’ll take it over the snow any day … and you are so right! Conflict brings growth, strength and at times determination to succeed. We are better for it.

Sometimes, I think I am ready for the change that is coming and then, when it gets there, I realize I wasn’t ready at all. Our weather here in NC is cloudy and in the low 70’s today. I am visiting my sister this week.

I know that feeling, most times because the change is so unexpected, it usually takes us a few minutes to get back together. God bless you, my friend
