Hey friends, how are you today? Today is supposedly the last day of above average temperatures and although I will be sad to wave ‘goodbye to these warm days, fall temperatures are probably my favorites. I say ‘probably’ because I think I say the same for all temperatures, except perhaps winter when we fall below zero. Today is cloudy and the harsh winds litter the grounds with the loose leaves from the trees. Time to enjoy the beauty of fall before it too, waves ‘goodbye’. Fall does not really linger in our neck of the woods.

I love new days. Each new day is a blank slate, it’s like a do-over day. A new day to be better, to do better, to practice godliness faster than the day before. A new day reminds me that God is still God, and I am not; it reminds me that “His divine power has given me all I need to live godly in this world”. A new day reminds me that “God’s faithfulness is great toward me” and that I have been given “new grace and new mercy” just for today. It reminds me to count my blessings, name them one by one. I am reminded that today comes with its own problems, so leave tomorrow’s problems alone. I am reminded that “His grace is sufficient for me, and His strength is made perfect in my weaknesses”. Today is a good day because we serve the Trustworthy God.

During the summer, on Independence Day, we visited the Eternal Flame Falls in NY. Truthfully, our interest peaked because of the name. Whose wouldn’t, right? All kinds of thinks go through the mind when we hear these words. Anyway, I’m happy we went, although hubby didn’t think it was that fascinating. The trek to the actual falls was a tad bit hazardous, the best path was through the water, over and under logs and across slightly slippery stones. I think the end justified the means, in this case and so did the girls. We gave it our stamp of approval.

Check me out on Instagram. Let’s continue the conversation over on Instagram. Follow my Instagram and I will follow back, just let me know in the comment section. I would love to meet you 🙂

I love your reflection that, “A new day reminds me that God is still God” As the days come and go we are reminded of His faithfulness. Great pics!

Brenda, great pics!! And really interesting about Eternal Flame Falls!
As far as ‘do-over’ days…. I find myself wondering if there are enough for me!! 🙂 But as you say, God is STILL God, His faith is everlasting, HE provides all we need in life, His grace is sufficient, and I’m on SHOUTIN’ and STOMPIN’ ground!! 🙂 🙂
AMEN!!
