JOURNEY WITH ME

Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? We had a good week over here in my neck of the woods, it was very productive.  I must admit I have not been very productive, as a matter of fact, Procrastination has been my middle name. The winter season added with the Coronavirus has taken quite a few things off our schedule, such as Awana and Sunday school to name a few but,  I suppose that was needed as we lived life at the speed of light.  I’ve decided to take back the reigns, as much as the Lord allows and be more proactive, by keeping a schedule, in order to get back to a routine.  Prayerfully, I will continue to become more productive as time passes.  How are going? What is your schedule like during these times?

We took our baby to college over the weekend.Β Β Usually this is a overnight trip because of the distance from us, but this time we decided to spend an extra day in Ohio and I’m glad we did.Β Β Β Whenever we travel to Ohio, I like to visit the thrift stores, unfortunately we were unable to do so, this time around.Β Β But in its place, I was able to visit Springfield, which is where we stayed; at the Courtyard Springfield Downtown Marriott Hotel.Β Β The service was exemplary, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort while there, the food in their restaurant was delicious, although we decided to eat in our room, because… well, you know.Β Β Β It was good to just take some time away to rest.Β Β Here are a few of our sights, while we were there.Β Β I definitely do recommend this hotel if ever you are in the Springfield area.Β Β Of course, this post isn’t sponsored.Β Β

How are you doing? We’re in the first month of a new year, but sometimes it feels as if we are in the thirteenth month of 2020. It’s a good time to encourage each other. Look up, friend, look up tp the God of the Universe. He is GOD and there is none like Him.

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

  1. We have Awana at our church too!!❀️and we actually are still meeting but it definitely looks different than past years.
With your love of thrifting, have you ever heard of Closet Mentor and/or Platos Closet? (Chain second hand stores) I had the opportunity to go to those last fall in Denver and was blown away…such a treat!!!! Both are a must, but a prefer Closet Mentor!

  2. I talked with a good friend in Ohio this week. She just took her daughter back to Ohio State University over the weekend.
That bug finally caught me. I’m recovered, though I still tire easily, so I am just doing the most important things and I know that everything else will wait. Next week is going to be even better. Life is a blessing, and God is so very good.

  3. Procrastination is my middle name! πŸ™‚ I am working on it though. Keeping a schedule helps some, except when babies decide that sleeping is optional, lol. Then any schedule I was attempting to keep goes right out the window! Thank God for homeschooling and flexibility though! πŸ™‚ God Bless!

    • Amen πŸ™πŸ½ that’s the beauty of homeschool, I loved the flexibility, especially when the girls had enough, plus the various avenues to learn was pretty good too. I do need to do better with my schedule. I’m either too rigid or I’m not at all. May the Lord bless us

  4. Thank you for sharing Springfield with us!
I’m looking forward to maybe some slower days. Things keep popping up on our calendar, and we go, go, go do them. I’m made of slower stuff, I guess. I’m very grateful, though, that the things we do are enjoyable.

  5. We normally have a loose schedule but this last year has made it even easier to procrastinate.
I’m glad you had a safe trip and it looked like an enjoyable one, too! Your pictures are beautiful.
