Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? Can you believe we are less than one week away from Christmas? I love this time of the year! I love everything about Christmas, truly there wouldn’t be Christmas without Christ, my Savior.  What a privilege; what an honor to be part of the family of the One, Who came to ensure that I had an opportunity to have and live abundant life.

Growing up, I spent Christmas season in 85° weather.  Most Christmas days ended at the beach.  Most of the Christmas season came with days filled with blue skies and sunshine. In my neck of the woods, more than likely there will be snow on the ground on Christmas day. Perhaps the temperature will not rise above 25° and there may even be a snowstorm on the horizon.  Yet, none of these detract from the beauty in this time of the year.  Without the birth of Christ, there would be no death, no resurrection, nor preparing a place for me.  The God of the universe had, before time began, decreed that this was the only way salvation would be made available to man.  No one thing is more important in the life of Christ than another.  Everything single aspect of His life served and continue to serve a purpose.  That’s just how detailed our God is in everything He does.  I love this time of the year, not even the weather can take that away from me.

It’s always a good time to reflect on the goodness and grace and mercy of God.  In a world, where life is so uncertain, each new day is a good day.  It’s a good time to be gain making changes, setting new goals.  Although it is cold in my necks of the woods, and been for quite a few days, I will rejoice and be glad in this day.  Let me share my neck of the woods with you.

Rejoice in everything; give thanks for everything
the sun came out to play
so the snow went into hiding

What do like you best at this time of the year?

  3. I love the smells, the lights, the feelings, the whole package 🙂 I have been enjoying Christmas since the beginning of November, but now I’m starting to freak out a little…I can’t believe it’s so close! May we always remember the reason for the season. God Bless!

  4. I love your photos of the tree limbs coated with snow! The trees are so dark and the snow is so white. They make kind of a gnarled, swirling, artistic pattern against the sky.
