Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? Can you believe we are less than one week away from Christmas? I love this time of the year! I love everything about Christmas, truly there wouldnβt be Christmas without Christ, my Savior. What a privilege; what an honor to be part of the family of the One, Who came to ensure that I had an opportunity to have and live abundant life.

Growing up, I spent Christmas season in 85Β° weather.Β Β Most Christmas days ended at the beach.Β Β Most of the Christmas season came with days filled with blue skies and sunshine. In my neck of the woods, more than likely there will be snow on the ground on Christmas day. Perhaps the temperature will not rise above 25Β° and there may even be a snowstorm on the horizon.Β Β Yet, none of these detract from the beauty in this time of the year.Β Β Without the birth of Christ, there would be no death, no resurrection, nor preparing a place for me.Β Β The God of the universe had, before time began, decreed that this was the only way salvation would be made available to man.Β Β No one thing is more important in the life of Christ than another.Β Β Everything single aspect of His life served and continue to serve a purpose.Β Β Thatβs just how detailed our God is in everything He does.Β Β I love this time of the year, not even the weather can take that away from me.Β Β

Itβs always a good time to reflect on the goodness and grace and mercy of God.Β Β In a world, where life is so uncertain, each new day is a good day.Β Β Itβs a good time to be gain making changes, setting new goals.Β Β Although it is cold in my necks of the woods, and been for quite a few days, I will rejoice and be glad in this day.Β Β Let me share my neck of the woods with you.

What do like you best at this time of the year?Β

People seem to be a little nicer this time of the year. They call out βMerry Christmas!β
When other times they donβt seem to even notice you. And I love the cozy feelings and hot chocolate and christmas movies.

I love to meditate on the coming and salvation of Jesus. I need to pay more attention to the passing days – even with a calendar, it always seems to sneak up on me.

Sorry it took me so long to respond; we left to pick up the girls from college and it became a literal trip π π It will definitely NOT be a picnic, but I also not sure it will be considered dinner either, because I do not cook on Christmas Day π my personal favorite tradition

I love your photos of the tree limbs coated with snow! The trees are so dark and the snow is so white. They make kind of a gnarled, swirling, artistic pattern against the sky.

My favorite part of this time of the year is that more people are made aware of the reason for the season, and also that I get to see distant family members.
