Hi, how are you today? How was yesterday? Will today be better than yesterday? Believe it or not, that depends on you. How did you start your day today? Did you begin the day with the Lord? Did you hear from Him by spending time in His Word? Did you talk to Him about your plans, share with Him your feelings about people or things, tell Him Your concerns? Our quiet time with the Lord is especially for us. It helps to grow us and prepare us to be victorious in our daily walk. It causes us to hasten to Lord in repentance. It can make the difference between intentional actions rather than instinctive reactions. It can make the difference between yesterday and today. What a difference a day makes! It can be the difference between life and death. It can also be the difference between LIFE and DEATH. A day can make the difference between repentance and rebellion. Let’s live intentionally for the Lord, today.
It was a beautiful day; the sun was shining, showcasing the blue skies with just a hint of some cirrus clouds. The birds were chirping sweetly, sharing good news with the human passersby. They were whispering, “Spring is here, Spring is here.” “Ahh yess”, answered the poor defenseless souls. If only they knew what was coming. If only they had focused on what they know to be true! They knew where they lived; the weather is the main topic of every conversation, in spite of the season. They knew that they couldn’t trust this weather, with its fickle nature. They knew the meteorologist usually didn’t get it right. They knew to be prepared for anything. But were they?
On our walk, on this beautiful, ‘spring like’ day, we just happened to enter this quaint, vintage consignment store. It said, “hey, hey, you there, enjoying this glorious day. Come in and stay awhile”. So we did and came away with these. Yeah, I know some of you are judging me, but that’s okay, the two together was $15.00. See.. I’m saving my husband some money. Then the next day happened!
Sixteen inches of snow, friends! 16 inches! “Spring, oh spring, why? Why did you leave”? Should have known better! Oh well, thankfully the sweater and the hat will keep me warm.
Tell us about the difference a day has made in your life. Perhaps we can pray for you today and tomorrow may make the difference.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who have taken the time to follow the blog. I am humbled by your comments and likes on the posts. May the Lord be honored on this adventure.

God bless you sister! I encourage you to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, by taking the risk to love others, even the un-lovely. Open your heart to them whose hearts is still close because of fear. I was born in Romania. I was an atheist until I came to Nigeria, with my husband in 1980. The Holy Spirit arrested me and I became saved on the 12th of April 1986. It was a crisis conversion. From a nobody I became a somebody! “O happy day! Oh happy day! When Jesus washed my sins away!” May God help me never forget that day! Glory to God!

So perfect a word for today! “Snow” is coming and God is preparing our hearts even now. We don’t have to know how much or how little “snow” – it’s enough to know the One who sends/allows it! Standing on that! Keeping this reminder close. Thank you!

Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen 16 inches of snow in my entire life!!! What a great reminder to use each day wisely and the importance of our day to day choices and actions!

Amen! I really do love the snow, it so beautifully reminds me of the Lord’s grace and forgiveness… but…BUT it has been awhile since I saw grass and it’s almost Spring. I reallly need Spring to come back 😂. Our choices should be intentional, when it isn’t we thank the Lord for His unfathomable grace and forgiveness.

Oh wow! I was hoping the snow would have come first, and then instantly melted overnight.
I’m the same when I hear birds I think spring.

Even the birds have given up on Spring. They are probably regretting leaving south 😆😂. It is still snowing

That is a crazy amount of snow!! I’m in Nebraska and we have a lot of the 65 degrees one day, 25 the next…I’m ready for 80 degrees everyday, all summer long!! …wishful thinking though.. it’ll end up close to 100 most days here in the summer..and then I’ll wish for cold weather again;)

😂 😂 I have already asked the Lord to help me not to complain about the ‘warm’ weather when it comes. We are fickle people, are we not?

Hey! Just found your blog. 🙂
You are so right. This week has been really yuck. Until this morning I got up early enough to read my Bible in the morning instead of the evening and today has been great!

I have grown so aware of my need for daily time with God. I start my day by intentionally giving it to God and asking Him to be in charge. I need to relinquish control–it makes a huge difference in my attitude.
Hey, I’m a thrift shopper too! God provides so many of our needs for physical things this way. Love your finds. 🙂
God bless your weekend, and thanks for sharing!

Yeah! Hi fellow thrifter 🙂 That control! 🙂 when will we understand that He will do a much better job than we can ever do. My main problem is the ‘not knowing what’s coming’ which in other words is ‘trust’. Trust in the Lord, lets do it together. 🙂

So true, each and every day is a new beginning! I have been reminding myself of this a lot lately, thanks for a lovely perspective on it. (Also, love the jacket and the hat!) I need to be more intentional about spending some time with God in the morning. I put it off because sometimes it’s hard to carve that time out, but as I have gotten older, I am beginning to feel it is more important for me in my walk. Thanks for another push:)

I love the jacket so much…
By this month in the year 2015, i was going back and forth in the hospital that i didn’t even remembered to shower for days. My big mum (she raise me) was diagnosed with cancer of the liver. There was no hope cause of it late diagnosis. The stage was not treatable. I watched a big, health woman gradually changes to someone i could easily back and bath her. I was 21 and on the 12th of march 2015 she died in my arms smiling and her last words were ‘I won the battle’. While she said she was proud of me.

“It can make the difference between intentional actions rather than instinctive reactions.” So true 💗 what’s inside is what comes out. If we start with God, people will more readily see Him in us. Good thought!
