Hey friends, how are you today? It is another beautiful day in my neighborhood. Although we are under partly cloudy skies, we basked beneath the sunshine. Fortunately, the rain arrives later at night which grants us the opportunity to live abundant lives in the daylight. How are you? How has your summer been so far?

Summer has been kind to us, thank you for asking. I have been golfing, running, walking, vacationing and so much more. Yes, I am outside. We visited our first born who lives in Dayton, OH for her birthday. Then hubby and I went went to Myrtle beach with great friends. Anna (our second) and I have tried LED sauna and enjoyed the experience.

We attended two concerts so far. I had the best time at both of them. CeCe Winans came to our city right around my birthday. It’s like Someone told her. Of course, it could also be because it was Mother’s Day too. But why spoil my fun? Then the legendary Toby Mac, my new favorite singer, Jamie MacDonald and a few others came to our city. That concert was phenomenal.
The Lord has surely blessed us with wonder at His grace and mercy. We watched the movie ‘He Calls Me Daughter’ together as a ladies’ group. That time was truly special. Spending time with others allows me to see that I’m not alone on this journey. Millions of people, just like me, did not grow up with their father. But that’s not the end of our story. Beneath the heartache, our Lord was overwriting another chapter. This chapter reminds us that He is our Heavenly Father. He is more loving, more merciful, more gracious, more giving. He is good and kind and He loves us so completely.

I am thankful our girls have their father in their lives. I am thankful the Lord blessed them with a godly man who loves his children. But Heavenly Father, how thankful I am, that my girls know You as their Heavenly Father. They join me in calling you their ‘Abba… Father’.

Well… that ‘short’ post took a turn. How are you friends?
Here in photos are a look at our summer so far…

I sigh with you in peace and contentment on your beach.
We’ve had a summer of traveling to new grandbaby, and to memory care mom (also with my wonderful sister). Much as I love summer, I am glad to live in a region with four seasons. I look forward to Fall.
Love your photos. ❤️ and you
