Hey friends, how are you? How was your week? Today is a beautiful day in my neighborhood. The sun is out and shines its light to illuminate the beauty of God’s creation. The blue skies seem bluer. The green leaves on the trees seem greener. The air smells fresher. The colors of nature seem more vibrant. The backyard friends seem livelier.

That always seem to happen after the rain. While the rain brings a dark, dreary, dull, depressing days, the sunshine offers more brilliant, brighter, bluer days. Just like life, right? The rain, like trials may bring disappointments, discouragements, despondency. But joy comes in the morning. We see the beauty because of the rain. The trial is necessary in our lives in order to develop a closer, more intentional relationship with the Lord.

I’m not always ready for the rain. Most days, I don’t want the rain. But the flowers won’t bloom, the leaves will not bud and flourish. The fruits will not grow, nor give their sweetness. Rain is necessary for life and for growth. Trials, whether brought by our Lord, or invited by our own actions are good. They too, offer life and growth.

Happy, Happy Mothers’ Day to all the sweet mothers out there. May the Lord bring joy to your soul. Have a blessed day today. Are you in a rainy season? Do you wish to share? How are you today? What are your plans for mothers’ day?

We did have a few days of beautiful, gentle, needed rain.
Are those peonies? I LOVE peonies – they smell so lovely!

“a dark, dreary, dull, depressing days,”???
No, no, no, girl! Rain is itself beautiful! The calm gray clouds gently nursing the earth like a loving mother her child….
unless of course, if there’s a torrential downpour that washes out bridges and tornadoes rip up the trees…😂
But rain is itself very nice.😉
