Hey friends, how are you today? Brrrr… it has been frigid in my neck of the woods. And this weekend promises even colder temperatures, including a possible snowstorm. But last evening, I saw the most spectacular sunset.

In spite of the cold, my heart studded at the sight of this beautiful event. The bright orange colors are striking as they blaze across the skies. The tiny ball of the sun at the very center. And from there, the colors begin to fade but are no less impressive. I love sunsets.

The setting of the sun reminds me of the faithfulness of God. He allowed me to see the completion of the day. He kept His promises throughout the day. Even those promises I could not see. He is God and He is faithful to Himself. Because He is faithful to Himself, He is faithful to keep His promises. He is faithful to me.

Sunsets tell me I am loved perfectly and completely. I am loved by the Holy and Righteous Creator of the Universe. I am loved. I think that’s why Gods gave us sunsets. To remind us that we are unconditionally, unwaveringly, completely, perfectly loved.

Do you love sunsets? What in nature tells you of the love of God?

Beautiful photos, Brenda…”The heavens declare the glory of God!” (And mountains do for me too!)

Me too 😮 I love mountains and the oceans. Sunsets over these makes them both look even more spectacular.

I love sunsets too! I also love sunrises, a promise of a new day, He’s making all things new.
I watch the sun rise out my window from the room I do most of my writing and creating almost every morning.
But sunsets I couldn’t tell you how many times my husband and I would be out venturing and see a sunset and change the course we’ve set in order to chase a sunset or even a rain bow.
God is so good at creating beautiful pictures for us to begin and end our days with. In the morning, He’s making something new. In the evening, He’s saying well done, let’s try it again or do more tomorrow. For now, rest in Him until morning.

I’m thankful for sunsets and God’s creations in nature. They sure do remind me of His faithfulness too!
I really enjoy anything green in the outdoors, reminding me of growth and new life.
Warms my heart to talk of these things, as we’re at a high of 5 degrees in my part of the country today.

🥶🥶🥶that’s cold. We’ve been told to prepare for negative numbers and told to spend as little time as possible outdoors. Sunsets tell me that God loves beauty

i like sunsets too. I suppose there are people who associate sunset with end of the road, next, and the ever magical “unclean until the even” ☺️
Sunsets are so many things. Brenda, I am glad you reminded us of a few.
Keep lighting up the world!

I DO love sunsets! From our picture window we see sunrises, which I also love.
A reminder that God keeps His promises, even those which I cannot see: I love the thought of that. How many ways, moment by moment, is God sustaining and providing for me, and I don’t even realize it!?
