Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? It’s been a good week here in my neck of the woods. The weather has been fabulous, today the meteorologist has promised a high of 51° and I absolutely love it. The spring birds have been raising their voices in praise to our God. Although the trees are still in their scary stage with bony fingers pointing in every direction, the squirrels and chipmunks play hide and seek. We’re still in the month of February and spring could hardly wait to spring into action (see what I did there?).

This winter has been the mildest I’ve ever seen since we’ve been here. We probably have had more rain this season than we’ve had snow, and I must admit, I don’t mind at all.

It came to me as I sat thanking the Lord for this fantastic weather, that perhaps another Christian in my neighborhood was not at all thankful for this mild season.

It’s all about our perspective, isn’t it?
Do you think the Lord withholds our desires because He hates us? Or perhaps He demonstrates His perfect love when He gives to us? Do we associate His blessings with the depth of His love for us? Will He take from one and give to another as if there is shortage in His storehouse?

At the end of the day, does any of this matter except that He uses life to strengthen and mature our relationship with Him? Thankfully, I’ve come to the conclusion, that He is God, and I am not. Oh how He loves you and me, He gave His life…

What is your perspective on this life you have been given?

Honestly, I’ve been focusing on the things I need to be grateful for, rather than dwell on the things I do not have at the moment. I know that due time, everything will come to place.
Thanks for sharing this🥰. And happy Easter

This life for me is about one thing- share Jesus. Okay well another thing- teach English. Well actually sum it up- share Jesus’s love in everything, but I fail at it

As a parent sometimes I said “no” to my children. Sometimes I said “yes.” In their eyes when I said “no” they may have questioned my love or thought me unkind. But my answers were always because I loved them, and in my “wisdom” I knew better than them what was best. I feel that way about my heavenly Father. Looking back on my life, I can see times I am so glad He did not give me my desire. He loves me and so I can ask what I desire, knowing that if it is not best for me, He will say “no.”

Amen and amen 🙏🏽 rarely I realize now, was I thankful for the no’s’ at the time. But every single time as time past, I am thankful for the no’s.

Deep thoughts!!
“Do you think the Lord withholds our desires because He hates us? Or perhaps He demonstrates His perfect love when He gives to us? Do we associate His blessings with the depth of His love for us? Will He take from one and give to another as if there is shortage in His storehouse?”
The Bible gives us no room to believe anything other than God deeply loves us. Jesus gave it all. Therefore, do we desire what He desires? 1 John 5:14-15, we can have confidence approaching God because if we ask anything according to His will, we know we have it.
What is our perspective on blessings, that we would equate them with God’s love? Because Ephesians explains in great detail how, because of God’s great love for us, He gives us great treasure in spiritual blessings when we trust in His Son! But if we are operating with the wrong definition of blessing, we may be disappointed with what we have. We may not even recognize what we have.
Proverbs 13:22 says that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous. But, God doesn’t show favoritism to His children. We are all heirs in Christ Jesus. There is never a shortage in God’s storehouses. ALL good things come from Him!
Most of the time, we just need to ask God for His perspective instead of expecting Him to conform to our will. I’m in this season–asking God to mold my heart and my perspective to conform to His will so that I can be content. And when discontentment is designed to move me to another place, then direct my paths so that I can go there.

Amen 🙏🏽 too many times we lose sight of our spiritual blessings because of what we may consider be lacking in our lives. In reality the physical blessings are far less worthy than the spiritual.

I am thankful for every minute that I am alive and appreciate God’s creation of me, the people I love and all of the beauty around me. All may not be the way I want it to be, but it is the way God has purposed, and that is good enough for me.

I think God is blessing us all the time: but we may not see it all as blessings. As you say, it’s all in perspective.
