GIVE…, GIVE…, GIVEAWAY

Hey friends, how are you today? How was your week? Did you choose to live life abundantly this week? In spire of the busyness, or even maybe, because of the busyness?

Hubby and I have been blessed with two of the most beautiful girls in the world. But they are as different as two people can be; if you meet them one may wonder whether they are even related.  One cries at the drop of a hat, the other, if she cries, you know she’s really hurt. One is a talker; with the other, it’s like pulling teeth.  One is curious and a tad too adventurous; the other prefers sameness and as little change in her day as possible.  And I can go on with the differences, even siblings with the very same parents are different and that’s exactly how they were created, by the God of the universe.

Yet they are two peas in a pod, they are so close, they could be twins. When we homeschooled, I literally had to ensure they were in separate locations, in order to get any school work done at all. So close in fact, they attend the same university!

As Christians we’ve been called to live life abundantly, but we’ve all been equipped with differences that are necessary for the furtherance of the kingdom of God.  We are each unique, special and one of a kind and that’s just the way the Lord wanted it.

But we also so have several things in common. We are loved by the mighty God of the Universe. We are created in the image of the God of the Universe.  We are loved by the God of the Universe and we’ve been offered an opportunity to spend eternity with the God of the Universe through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Chin up friends, your redemption draws nearer every day.

  2. Loved this post and the reminder that we’re all created uniquely..we’ve hosted a foreign exchange student this year and she’s dramatically different from our family which (at times) leaves me baffled but nevertheless I’m learning and growing through the experience, as is she…thanks for the beauty of this post with the sweet reminder that God doesn’t make mistakes:)

I’m thankful for the moments I recognize that God is teaching me and I’m responding and maturing through His work!!!❀️ it’s an ongoing process for sure!πŸ˜‚…which could be summed up with β€œbecoming”…take care friend!

  3. I am thankful that even when my circumstances aren’t the best, I can still find peace in knowing Jesus is with me. I can find joy in remembering the mission for which He was sent on this earth. And I can find hope in the knowledge that He came to this earth as a baby and died as my Savior.

  4. Love your writing Brenda. I have two daughters that pretty much have the same differences you mentioned. They are of course grown now (I’m old) LOL. They are sooo close it warms my heart. They really keep me going and I just posted pictures on FB showing how different they were as kids.

  5. Great example of your daughters to also point out how we as Christians are different – yet alike. As always I enjoy your thoughts. I won the give away last year – and really loved the gifts. This is a great blessing to one of your followers.

  6. When you described your daughters, it reminded me of my sister and I because we are total opposites – I’m more calm and quiet, while my sister is loud and won’t ever stop talking!

I’m thankful to have God by my side, even when things get difficult and for trusting Him no matter what happens.✨

  7. I am thankful for opportunities to share the love of Jesus. I don’t need make up, so don’t need to enter me πŸ™‚

For some reason I think you are more like the adventurous talkative daughter. πŸ™‚
