THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMFORT

Hey friends, how are you? How was your week? First, I would like to say, β€˜thank you’.  Thank you, thank you so very much to you for taking the time to mourn and weep with me, this week.  I deeply appreciate your prayers and was very much comforted by it.  Thank you again, my friends.   The Lord is good to me and to us as a people.  He gives β€˜good gifts’ even when we cannot see the β€˜good’ in it.  As time marches on, eventually, we learn to trust the Lord more and more during these difficult times.  He then opens our eyes and shows us that because He is a good God, everything He does, therefore, is good, for me and for you.

Nature is another that brings comfort to my soul.  There is nothing more breathtakingly beautiful, than nature, itself.  Although some may say that description belongs to people, I, of course, would have to disagree. It is true, that old adage, β€˜beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, when referring to people.

Beautiful Monarch Butterfly

Very rarely does one stand in awe of another’s beauty, though many jaws have dropped at the sheer beauty of nature.Β Β I love nature; the ferocity of storms, the twenty inches of snow in twelve hours, the sun shining in all its splendor.Β Β The changes in seasons always bring to mind, God’s unwavering grace toward man.Β Β Nature speaks, it says, β€œlook! Look!Β Β Still there is one more majestic than me”. Can’t you see Him in the mountains? Can’t you smell Him in the flowers? Can’t you hear Him in the waves?Β Β Slow down, don’t miss His unfailing love and mercy toward you.Β Β The Lord desires your attention; spend time with Him today.Β Β Β Β

  1. My favorite things about fall are the scents of pumpkin and vanilla, the holidays and sports being on 24/7. Thank you for this lovely article on taking a moment with God. God wants time with us and all we have to do is open our eyes around us to nature.

  2. Wow, you take amazing photographs. I can see God’s love everywhere. It literally radiates off the screen. I believe that God is always trying to call us to spend more time with Him. Sometimes we don’t give Him enough time. Spending time in nature is a great way to spend a little time with God. You learn to appreciate His gifts more, and you find solace in Him.

  3. Dear Sister,

May the Lord continue to comfort you in your loss. One of my best friends recently lost her husband of 29 years and I lost a staff member –– the first time with this experience –– shortly thereafter. Through your post I found comfort ––  you sharing the comfort wherewith you have been comforted. Thank you and God bless.

  5. Brenda,
I believe the bird in the picture is a little blue heron. One day I saw one in a nearby creek. He was standing still, waiting for a fish or frog to come by.
Thank you for posting the pictures. They are beautiful, and restful.
I am glad you are finding comfort in the loss of your grandfather. He was a blessing from God to you.
When I first moved to this area, I found the beauty and rhythm of nature to be a comfort. I was a teenager, and was not one of the popular kids. I felt as though I was looking from the outside in. But in nature I found a reflection of God’s unconditional love, because nature doesn’t care what a person looks like, whether a person is popular or not. This was soothing to me to think about. I still find being outside soothing to my soul, and inspirational.

  6. You are welcome ma’am

Nature is indeed a beauty. Had to smile while reading your post, I have same thought 2 days ago and had to pen down a few things on it and that would be the next post on my blog.

    Nature is relieving!

  7. What relief when the humidity dies down and the air is cool and crisp! How can anyone be an atheist if they just observe the creation? It is stunningly beautiful. Even the weeds have tiny little flowers! Blessings, Brenda!

  8. I am glad you have experienced God’s comfort little sister. I enjoyed the pictures. What kind of bird is that circled?

I love the changing colors of the trees in fall, college football, and foods like chili.

One question for you little sister- If you could choose to be out in nature or the mall today, which would you choose? πŸ˜‰

    • πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I would have to say, I would choose nature in a heartbeat πŸ™‚ nooooo; thankfully, hopefully; I never have to choose πŸ™‚ I think it’s a type of crane, but that’s second-hand information… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ I love the colors of fall,

  9. Amen! I find so much comfort and beauty in nature. I am constantly reminding myself to slow down and just enjoy the colors and sights and smells. These are the things that remind of God’s love and give me feelings of joy when times are not always the best. Praying for your continued healing and peace. God Bless!
