SUMMERTIME FUN

Hey friends, how was your week? The weather has been very temperamental this week.  The temperature was 82Β° one day and 63Β° the next, even the birds were confused. Poor birds… they probably thought summer was here and suddenly fall came around and guess what? Summer is here again.   I’ve been under the weather all week and still not quite out of the woods yet.  Jazz, the cat had been running full throttle thrush the house, I think my constant presence at the house has left her bewildered.  How was your summer? I’ve had a wonderful summer.

A few weeks ago, we attended Sight and Sound Theatres in Lancaster, PA. We went to watch the show β€˜jesus’.  It was a phenomenal play depicting the life of Christ.  The music and singing brought chills to my spine, there was live animals, the cast was perfect.   They kept the script pretty accurate. I’ve attended quite a few shows over the years, and I must admit, I think this one was a touch above the rest.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of my favorite vacations over the summer was our trip to Myrtle Beach.Β Β We stayed right in the beach, with a few other friends, who were excellent friend.Β Β The laughter, the talks, the shopping and the time spent on the beach under the rays of the sun was just what we needed.Β Β

What was your summer like? What activities did you accomplish?

  1. Hey, Brenda, your summer was MUCH more interesting than mine. Your pictures are great and the polka-dot sandals in the different pics are really fun. I enjoy the pics of you “doing stuff” — like miniature golf. Hope your Fall gets off to a good start!

My husband and I kicked off our Summer with a trip to Germany to visit our foreign exchange student we hosted a few years ago, that was probably the highlight of our Summer❀️

  3. This was a wonderful summer as we made so many road trips exploring our new state of Michigan. There are so many lighthouses and so many small towns that have preserved their downtown area with the original buildings and have great coffees shops, art galleries, restaurants and my favorite – used book stores. We are just 2-3 hours away from great beaches also on Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and Lake Huron. I have so enjoyed it! Your pics were beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I love that picture of you at Anderson Spa! You’re looking trim and healthy.
Those high-up photos of the beach: are they from a high-rise hotel? High sand dune??
How is your miniature golf game? My husband always advises against me playing any more, since I can’t even keep the ball within the grounds.

  5. You went to two of my favorite places. I really enjoy the Sight and Sound Theater, although I have only been twice. I saw β€œJoseph and His Coat of Many Colors” and β€œNoah’s Ark”. Both were wonderful! And Myrtle Beach is my favorite beach. We went there last year with our daughter and got a place right on the beach, with fabulous prices right after Labor Day. This past summer, we only went to visit grandchildren, but that was good. Plus, I got to meet two authors that I like: Brenda Novak and Dani Pettrey.
