My identity is in Jesus Christ. All of my life’s decisions must first be filtered through the truths of God’s Word. I am a Christian. And as a Christian, I represent Christ. I tell the world, “look at me, I look like Christ”. Except that that’s not always the case. There are days when I live life through my lens, by my standards. On those days, I look nothing like Christ, because even the ‘good’ I may do has ulterior motives. But I am not without hope. I have a Savior (because I need saving), His Name is Jesus Christ. He offers me daily, hourly forgiveness. He says, “Come, Brenda, don’t stay there. Come for a fresh start, a new beginning”. And my response is “forgive me, Lord, I’ll take that fresh start”. You see, ‘His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue’. ‘All things’ my friend, ‘His divine power has given us all things’ to live a godly life. It comes through knowledge of Jesus Christ and where is this knowledge found? You guessed it… in the Bible. Do you desire to live a godly life? Read the Bible!
If you’ve been with me for a while (thank you for sticking around), or even if you are new here (thank you) you would know that there are many facets to every life. That’s the absolute beauty of man, our uniqueness. I like makeup. Did I already say that? I must admit though, I am not great at it. But this monthly box gives me the tools to practice. BoxyCharm is a $21.00 monthly subscription service that provides full size (I said full size) facial and make up products. You can also use this link/ Here is what came in this March box. I love these monthly boxes; it’s like a present in the mail, every month just for me. I look forward to its appearance in my mailbox.
PÜR THE COMPLEXION AUTHORITY Eye Shadow Palette MSRP: $36.00
Lately there has an eye shadow palette in almost every box. This month was no exception. The baby (she is 17) gets this one. She likes to experiment with her eye shadows. I must admit, she is much better at eye makeup, than I will ever be. The colors are beautiful, very pigmented and vibrant. It’s also very colorful. I think she will like it.
BUTTER LONDON Double Decker Lashes Mascara MSRP: $20.00
Who knew Butter London made mascara? I didn’t! I though they only made nail polishes… interesting. I love mascaras and this one is a treat. I love the length of the brittles. I will let you know what I think about it, since I have not used it.
SOUTH MANE BEAUTY Under Eye Gels MSRP: $10.00
In the box was this packet of eye gels. I look forward to using these as part of our ‘at home’ spa days.
THE VINTAGE COSMETIC COMPANY Smokey Eye Makeup Brushes MSRP: $23.00
These are soft eye brushes. I also really like the color of the brushes. Eye shadow brushes are always a pleasant surprise. Can we ever have enough brushes? I rest my case!
PRETTY VULGAR Make Them Blush MSRP: $26.00
My favorite thing in the box is this blush. Isn’t it pretty? I love the color. The company says it ‘provides a natural, glowy flush…, and is highly pigmented’. I look forward to using this product.
She didn’t come with box, but she made a cute addition.
What do you think, is BoxyCharm something you may like? Which was your favorite product? Do you like makeup?
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who have taken the time to follow the blog. I am humbled by your comments and likes on the posts. May the Lord be honored on this adventure.
Have a blessed day and remember: God’s love is unfailing, unwavering and unconditional.

Ouuuu that eyeshadow palette is gorg… I have been wanting to try boxycharm but the time it will take to get to me even with my US forwarding address has been a deterrent but I may still try it because they normally send some awesome stuff. ..

In high school, my parents paid to have my colors done, and how to apply cosmetics for my individual bone structure, and that was a wonderful gift. I don’t usually wear make-up now, unless it is a special occasion. Life is too busy with 8 kids! 😉

amen! 🙂 🙂 I like makeup, but I only wear three time a week. I wish I could do more sometimes, but it does take way too long 😦 😦
