Why do we stray away from You? Was it intentional? Did I wake up one morning and say to myself, “I will stray from the Lord today”? More than likely, it started off slowly, giving in a little here and little there, gradually drifting away. Lord, sometimes I forget I have an enemy, whose primary desire is to steer me away from You. I began to justify my course of actions. I compromised Your Word. I believed the enemy when he said, “You (Lord) did not exactly mean…” Why didn’t I remember that enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10)? When did I forget that there isn’t three sides to this spiritual battle; Yours, Satan’s and mine. This battle is between You and Satan. When I disobey Your Word, I obey Satan. When I fail to put the whole armor which You provided for me; to protect me, to give me a defense and to even go on the offense, I am guaranteed to succumb to the devil’s wiles (Ephesians 6:10-13). Did I think I was capable of this journey on my own?
It is so easy to get lost in the busyness of life; to take our eyes off the Lord, without being aware of it. It is easy to be overwhelmed and consumed with the problems and difficulties that life sends our way. Sometimes it’s hard to understand the love of God; to accept the way He does what He does, and acknowledge that His love for us is perfect and complete. He loves you, friends, with an unconditional and unwavering love. He loves you more than you can ever imagine. His love for you is beyond simple imagination. His thoughts about you far exceed anything conceivable. You can rely and depend on His love. You can rest assured that His plan for your life, has at its roots; His love. We are loved beyond measure! Today is a good day to be reminded of such a limitless, abounding love.
No, this battle will not be won on my own. I run and take comfort in His Love. I run to Him, I find peace and security. Safety awaits me, forgiveness with grace and mercy hugs me and draws me closer. I think I will stay there awhile.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who have taken the time to follow the blog. I am humbled by your comments and likes on the posts. May the Lord be honored on this adventure.
Have a blessed day and remember: God’s love is unfailing, unwavering and unconditional! Do you believe that?

Amen, and Amen! Beautifully written article. I actually just got done with a study about this and my husband is going to begin preaching a series over Ephesians 6:10-20. The enemy is serious and angry (rev 2). But Gods Love is everlasting and His strength has no end!

A struggle I have on a daily basis to not allow myself to be consumed in the day to day unnecessary of my life. Realizing I can’t do it on my own is hard because you want to feel like you have some self control.
Starting off with him and ending with him makes a big difference in my day.
Thank you for this word.

That’s the hardest part, Queen. Realizing how very little control we do have over anythin, really. Yes, making the Lord our number One, is the best way to live life! 😊

Unfortunately it happens so subtly and so quickly that often times I ask myself, how did I get there 😢

Love this! And what a sobering thought that when I disobey God, I am obeying the devil. Eww. I recoil at the thought! Ok, soldier, suit up! Forward, March!

Amen! Sometimes I think I act in isolation. What I do affects no one but me. That’s a false thinking, because our actions always comes with blessings or consequences. Thanks for reading 🙂
